Abstract
Destinasyonların sahip oldukları turizm potansiyelinin belirlenmesi ve çeşitli yönlerinin incelenmesi, mevcut turizm potansiyelinin artırılabilmesi, kullanılabilmesi, farklı turizm alanlarının yaratılabilmesi açısından çok önemlidir. Bu çalışmada İzmir ilinin Seferihisar ilçesinin Sakin şehir kriterleri kapsamında turizm potansiyelini ortaya çıkarmak amaçlanmaktadır. Çalışmada öncelikle ilçenin benimsemiş olduğu sakin şehir hareketi ele alınmış ve bu hareketin turizme etkisi ve ilçenin mevcut durumu ele alınmıştır. Şehrin turizm alanındaki literatürünün incelenmesi ile kentleşme, sakin şehir hareketi ve turizm sektörü arasındaki ilişki ortaya konmaktadır.

Abstract
Determining the tourism potential of the destinations and examining their various aspects is very important in terms of increasing and using the existing tourism potential and creating different tourism areas. In this study, it is aimed to reveal the tourism potential of Seferihisar district of İzmir province within the scope of Calm city criteria. In the study, firstly, the calm city movement that the district has adopted has been addressed and the effect of this movement on tourism and the current situation of the district have been discussed. By examining the city's literature in the field of tourism, the relationship between urbanization, calm city movement and tourism sector is revealed.
