Abstract
İlim sahibi olmak insanlığın itibar ettiği en önemli güçlerden biridir. İlim; insanı bu hayatta muktedir kılabildiği gibi ahirette de onun kurtuluşuna vesile olabilmektedir. İlim sahibi kişilerin alanlarında zirveye ulaşarak insanlığa yol göstermesi beklenen ve istenen bir gerçekliktir. İnsanlar bu önderler sayesinde -müşkül konularda- kurtuluş reçetelerini elde ederek onların koyduğu ölçülerle yol alabilmektedirler. İşte bu önderler, zamanımıza gelinceye kadar elde ettikleri bilgi ve tecrübelerle bir ışık gibi dünya ve ahiretimizi aydınlatmışlardır. Aslında onları diğer insanlardan ayıran en önemli unsurlardan biri; ilim adına pek çok disiplini bir arada tutmaları ve icra edebilmeleridir. Bu disiplinlerden biri de “Zühd” kavramını içinde barındıran tasavvuf ilmidir. İslam’ın Asr-ı Saadetten sonraki dönemlerinde nebevi ahlakın yeniden kazandırılması için yapılan çabalar sonucunda zühd hayatı ve kavramı önem kazanmıştır. Sonraki asırlarda tek başına bir ilmi teşkil eden zühd, zamanla tasavvuf disiplini içerisinde girmiş, özellikle ilim sahipleri için olmazsa olmaz güzel hasletlerden biri olmuştur. Kişi elde ettiği ilim gücünü zühd ile süsleyerek kalbini nefsine efendi, ruhunu gönüllere sultan yapabilmektedir. Bu bağlamda zühd sahibi ilim adamlarımızdan biri de Fuat Sezgin’dir. Onun zâhid-âlim kişiliği gönüllerimizde taht kurmuştur. Biz bu çalışmamızda zühd kavramının gelişimini, Fuat Sezgin’in şahsiyetinde zühdün tecessüm etmiş zâhid-âlim örnekliğini inceleyeceğiz. Ayrıca kaybolmaya yüz tutmuş manevi değerlerimizin yeniden canlandırılması ve kültürümüze kazandırılmasının artıları üzerinde duracağız.

Abstract
To have knowledge of science is one of the most important power of humanity. Science; human beings in this life as well as in the hereafter can be instrumental in his salvation. It is a desired reality that the people of science are expected to guide the humanity by reaching the peak in their fields. Thanks to these leaders, people are able to get rid of prescriptions of liberation by taking the measures they have taken. These leaders, until they come to our time with the knowledge and experience as a light of the world and our enlightenment have enlightened. In fact, one of the most important elements that distinguishes them from other people; in the name of science and discipline to hold together and can perform many. One of these disciplines is “Ascetic”, the concept of Sufism. As a result of the efforts made for the restoration of Islamic moral values in the later periods of Islam, the concept of ascetic has gained importance. The ascetic, which took its place in the Sufism discipline in the next centuries, is seen as a must for the scholars. The person obtains his knowledge by embracing the power of ascetic. In this context, one of our scholars who are scholars is Fuat Sezgin. His ascetics-purchase personality has created our hearts. In this study, we will examine the development of the concept of ascetic, the ascetics-purchase exemplified in the personality of Fuat Sezgin and the construction of his younger generations in the Islamic sciences. In addition, we will focus on the revitalization of our spiritual values and the advantages of bringing them to our culture.
