Abstract
Mıhlama tekniği değerli veya yarı değerli taşların metal yüzey üzerine değişik yöntemlerle yerleştirilmesidir. Bu teknikler içerisinde alaturka mıhlama, alafranga mıhlama, amerikan mıhlama, kanal mıhlama, güverse mıhlama, sıvama mıhlama, tırnaklı mıhlama gibi çeşitleri bulunmaktadır. Mıhlama tekniğinde kolye, küpe, yüzük, bilezik gibi takı çeşitleri üretilebilmektedir. Bu tekniğin gelişen teknolojiye uyum sağlaması, el işi mıhlama yapan ustaların giderek azalması bu tekniğin kullanımının yaygınlaştırılması açısından yapılan çalışmaların önemli olduğu düşünülmektedir. Bu araştırmada mıhlama tekniğini kapsayan tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırma, evreni kuyumculukta kullanılan mıhlama tekniği oluşturmaktadır. Örneklemini ise; mıhlama tekniğinin uygulamasındaki farklılıklarla oluşan alaturka mıhlama, alafranga mıhlama, amerikan mıhlama, kanal mıhlama, güverse mıhlama, sıvama mıhlama, tırnaklı mıhlama çeşitleri oluşturmaktadır. Bu araştırmada, el sanatları içerisinde yer alan kuyumculuğun önemli tekniklerinden birisi olan mıhlama tekniğinin geçmişteki ve günümüzdeki durumu, tekniğin yapım aşamaları ve çeşitleri ile bu teknikle üretilen takılar konusunda bilgi vermek amaçlanmıştır. Bu alanda yapılan çalışmaların ve kaynakların az olması nedeniyle yapılacak çalışmalara kaynak olması açısından önem taşımaktadır.

Abstract
Nail technique is the placement of precious or semi- precious gems on metal surface with different methods. These techniques include varieties such as alaturka style setting, alafranga style setting, American style setting, canal style setting, pigmentation, plaster style setting, nail style setting, etc. Various kinds of jewelry such as necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets can be produced with the setting technique. The adaptation this technique to the developing technology, gradually decrease of craftsmen who oke handmade nailing, it is thought that the gradually decrease in the studies which made with regards to the dissemination of the use of this technique are important. In this research, the scanning model has been used wich involves setting technique. The research constitutes the technique of brimming the universe in jewelry. The sample consists of alaturka setting, alafranga setting, American setting polishing, canal setting, pigmentation, plastering, nail setting varieties, which are formed by differences in the application of the technique. In this study, it is aimed to give information about the past and present situation of the nail technique which is one of the important techniques of jewelry in handicrafts, the construction stages and types of the technique and the jewelry produced with this technique. Due to the low number of studies and resources in this field, this study is important in terms of being the source of the studies.
