Abstract
Öğretmen yetiştirme programlarının öğretmen adaylarında felsefi farkındalık yaratacak biçimde şekillenmesi gerektiği bilinmekte, buna karşın uygulamada teknik yaklaşımların daha baskın olduğu görülmektedir. Bunun temelinde, felsefeye verilen önemin ve felsefi öğretilerin zayıf oluşu yatmaktadır. Oysa medya, felsefeyi ve felsefi yaklaşımları öğrenirken, öğrenenlerin bakış açısını genişletmelerine olanak vermek yoluyla eğitim ve felsefe arasındaki boşluğu dolduracak önemli materyaller sunmaktadır. Dolayısıyla bu araştırmanın temel amacı Ölü Ozanlar Derneği filmini eğitim felsefelerini temele alarak çözümlemek yoluyla, farklı felsefi anlayışların okul ve sınıf ortamında somutlaştığı alanları ortaya koymaktır. Nitel olarak yürütülen bu çalışmanın veri kaynağını Ölü Ozanlar Derneği filmi oluşturmaktadır. Bu film felsefi açıdan zengin içeriğinden dolayı seçilmiştir (yoğunluk örneklemi). Çalışma, doküman inceleme yöntemine dayalıdır. Betimsel analize dayalı veri çözümleme süreci sonunda, okul yönetiminin daimici-esasici ve Keating karakterinin ise varoluşçu felsefeyi yansıttığı görülmektedir. Bunun yanında ilerlemeci, yeniden kurmacı, postmodern, olgucu felsefelere dair izler de yer almaktadır. Bulgular, Ölü Ozanlar Derneği filminin eğitim felsefesi öğretimi açısından zengin bir içeriğe sahip bir materyal olduğunu göstermektedir.

Abstract
It is known that teacher training programs should be shaped in a way to create philosophical awareness among pre-service teachers. However, it is seen that technical approaches are prevailing in practice. On the base of this lies the weakness of philosophical foundations and of the teaching of philosophy. The media provides important materials to fill the gap between education and philosophy by allowing learners to expand their perspective as they learn philosophy and philosophical approaches. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to reveal the areas where different philosophical approaches are embodied in school and classroom environment through analyzing the movie of Dead Poets Society on the basis of philosophies of education. The data source of this qualitative study is the movie Dead Poets Society, which is selected due to its philosophically rich content (intensity sampling). The study was based on document analysis. As a result of descriptive analysis procedures, it was observed that school administration reflected perennialist and essentialist, Mr. Keating reflected existential philosophies. There are also traces of progressive, reconstructive, postmodern and positivist philosophies. The findings show that the movie Dead Poets Society is a material with a rich content in terms of teaching philosophy of education.
