Abstract
Örnek olay çalışmasının temel amacı; olgu, olay, birey, topluluk, kurum, işletme vb. üzerine detaylı bir inceleme yapmaktır. Örnek olay çalışmasında detaylı olarak incelenen özel örnek ile genele ulaşılmaya çalışılmaktadır. Ayrıca kullanılan veri toplama yöntemlerinin çeşitliliği bakımından da oldukça zengindir. Soru formları, gözlem, mülakat, anket, arşiv taraması ve daha birçok yöntem de örnek olay çalışmasında kullanılmaktadır. Ayrıca birden fazla veri toplama yöntemi aynı çalışmada kullanılabilmektedir. Bu şekilde daha kapsamlı ve bütüncül olarak sonuca ulaşılmaya çalışılmaktadır. Yapılan araştırmalarda da örnek olay çalışması yönteminin sıkça kullanıldığı görülmektedir. Bu doğrultuda da bu çalışmada örnek olay çalışmasının tanımına, desenlenmesine, aşamalarına, avantajlarına ve dezavantajlarına kapsamlı olarak yer verilmiştir.

Abstract
The main objective of the case study is a detailed examine to do on case, event, individual, community, institution, enterprise etc. In the case study, it is tried to reach the general with a special sample which is examined in detail. Besides in terms of the variety of data collection methods which used very rich. Questionnaire forms, observation, interview, questionnaire, archive research and many other methods are also used in the case study. In addition, more than one data collection method can be used in the same study. In this way, it is tried to reach a more comprehensive and holistic result. In the researches, it is observed the case study method which is often used. Therefore, in this study the description, patterning, stages, advantages and disadvantages of the case study are extensively mentioned.
